In November 2005 looking for the new markets and business opportunities in Asia Mr.Nyagela came to Singapore where he eventually set up the above company. The participation in a number of fairs and festivals in the city-state landed him a contract with the Singapore Zoo, one of the Singapore’s major tourist attractions and one of the best Zoos in the world. In July 2006 Art Africa Pte Ltd signed a deal with the Singapore Zoo to supply its gifts shop. In November 2007 Mr.Nyagela was approached by the management of the Singapore Zoo to organize acultural event and set up a booth with Kenyan artefacts at the Zoo to bring in customers during the Christmas festive season. The event lasted for a month running from mid-December 2007 and was a huge success.
From January 2008 Mr.Nyagela focused his company efforts on expanding into a new for Art Africa but very promising USA market and established a company in Miami to cater for the new business in the Northern Hemisphere and the well-established from Canada business in the Bahamas. The boutique shop dealing in Kenyan art in Montreal is currently managed by Mr.Nyagela’s younger brother and is part of his global business.
